Grandma turned 92 in November. She received this in the mail the day before Christmas. I wanted to make her something cozy and warm for the chilly winter in Idaho. More than that I wanted her to feel the love and appreciation I have for her. She has touched my life in so many ways. Some of my favorite memories of are that she slept outside with us in a tent, came to Alaska 1995 to visit me. She is a wonderful artist and has painted gorgeous paintings even in her eighties.
She has a great attitude and is such a love. Hope you enjoy some warm snuggles in your new blanket. Love ya so much Grandma.
This was a stack and slash patternish. (I continue to not be big on patterns.) I used a plush blanket for the back. The batting is a cotton/ poly blend for a little more fullness. This is cozy and gorgeous because you can see all the beautiful workman ship of the quilting that Carla does.
