This project began with a good friend Audrey who has so many talents I can not count. She sells crib sets on the side and generously offered to help make my little boys' room full of color and pattern. The first thing we did was shop for fabric at an awesome discount fabric store. I fell in love with these fabrics. I was not sure how much to buy. So I, not knowing anything about fabric or how much I needed, bought over 20 yards! I learned so much on this first project. Audrey made sure that I did most of the work, or at least tried.
I was lucky enough to meet a wonderful quilter, Carla, who began long-arm quilting my creations. http://quiltstack.blogspot.com/ She has a great eye for design and really pulls inspiration from your fabrics.
Every mother dreams of a nice nursery to bring her baby home to. My oldest did not have this until he was all most 1 year old. I was on bed rest for over three months due to complications. So first and for most I got to bring home a healthy baby in 2003 and then the bedding fallowed as I had hoped.
Three quilts later (all out of the same fabrics) and 3 wonderful little boys.
